How have household incomes changed since the 1970s: increased inequality amount the developed countries, growing level of impoverished, income of rich houses has grown , while income of the bottom 20% has actually shrunk. What accounts for growing income inequality: cuts in taxes on wealthier citizens, cuts in programs for poorer, changes in earned incomes senior executives bonuses skyrocket. Why does it matter: this seriously impacts the resources and opportunities available to people.
