Mons pubis, clitoris, labia majora, labia minora, vulvar vestibule, urethral and vaginal openings called the vulva all together: the mons pubis. The rounded fatty pad of tissue that covers the pubic symphysis. It is sensitive to touch and becomes covered with pubic hair at puberty. It is believed to play a role in sexual communication through pheromonal signalling, by helping to dissipate volatile compounds. It is assumed to provide protective padding during the friction of intercourse. Pubic hair removal is more common in younger than older women: the clitoris. Exceptionally sensitive organ which is important for female sexual response clitoral stimulation is the most common way that women achieve arousal and orgasm during masturbation and partnered sexual activity. Its only known function is sexual pleasure. External components: glans and shaft, which are covered by the prepuce (clitoral hood)
