A belief is a lever that once pulled, moves almost everything else in a person"s life. Imagine if you were to believe that you are going to die in 2 weeks, how would that change your perspective of life. They are just words until you believe them, and when you do they become the apparatus of your mind. The problem is our beliefs are causing people to kill one another. Our situation is that everyone follows their own book created by their own god. It is deemed wrong to even talk negatively about any other person"s religious ideas. We cannot ignore how people view religion differently now because of the current technology in nuclear weapons. People can blow up countries over a religious disagreement. Moderates believe that the path to peace will be paved when everyone respects each other"s religious beliefs but this idea is actually what is driving us to death.
