Contain a lot of sex specific language. Optical protocol on children in armed conflict does not refer to the child and him/her but rather as (cid:862)the (cid:272)hild(cid:863) Girls are at a greater risk of becoming prostitutes, child pornography, and/or sold. Article 2 allows for every child to be covered by the crc. Developing countries were quick to ratify the convention vs developed countries. Second important achievement is that despite frequent criticism it has turned out to be a human rights treaty that has an eye for the different contexts in which it will operate. A(cid:272)(cid:272)o(cid:373)(cid:373)odatio(cid:374)s of diversity i(cid:374) the crc"s su(cid:271)sta(cid:374)tive provisio(cid:374)s. Crc is a perfect example of a multicultural norm-setting. Has the capacity to reach children in any situation.
