Women who stepped out of the social and gender role, were called a witch. Women who were self employed, who are healers, women who took care of the dead, certain reputation were all suspected of witchcraft. Became legal, people found evidence of how people were witches and inditements would be issued. Confessed witches were allowed some time before they died. Justice can always be miss-leaded when the general population gangs up on one matter. 14 women and 5 men put to death, 18 hung, one crushed to death. Lack of government making it impossible to resolve conflict throught he law courts (third party impartiality)
