Showed figures from different perspectives, which was to become typical of cubism. Picasso met french painter georges braque in 1907, who had been in great admiration of demoiselles. Head of a woman (1909) by pablo picasso was the first cubist sculpture. Man with a hat (1912) by pablo picasso is an early example of collage. Marked the transition between analytic cubism and synthetic cubism. Marked the return of bright color to painting. Arranged flat shapes of color to form objects. Surrealism means above real and denotes the truer reality than the one of the visible world. Girl before a mirror (1932) by pablo picasso uses a mirror, much like manet"s a bar at the folies-bergere. Outer appearance is different from the reflection (presented vs. emotional state) Guernica (1937) by pablo picasso combines synthetic and analytic cubism.
