Transformaive capacity: the size, density, and variety of urban populaions allow people to escape the rigidiies of tradiional rural society and to paricipate in a variety of lifestyles and behaviours. Urban system: an interdependent set of urban setlements within a speciied region. Urban form: the physical structure and organizaion of ciies. Urban ecology: the social and demographic composiion of city districts and neighbourhoods. Urbanism: the way of life, aitudes, and paterns of behaviour fostered by urban seings.
