Scientific management (Frederick Taylor)
o ”The principal of management should be to secure maximum
prosperity for the employer, coupled with the maximum

o Lack of clear and uniform specifications causes employees to
lose efficiency and underperform
o Scientific management - emphasized careful selection and
training of workers and supervisory support
1. Develop for every job a science that includes rules of motion,
standardized work implements and proper working
