A product functional organization (i. e. oil companies) is divided exclusively. Functions could be maintenance, marketing, customer service. Matrix organizations are formed as ad-hoc and temporary. When a matrix organization is formed, you have two bosses, one is the boss for all sections and the other boss is the new one for the matrix organization. The boundaryless organization is an organization where the employees have no titles and the employees work together and are paid based on what they produce.
