It is essential for a group to have a good relationship as it will make the process more productive, and will be easier to get through the project. If people are upset, they might stop showing up to group meetings or put in little or no effort into the project. The difference between a consensus and a majority rule is that a consensus is considered to be a general agreement where everyone agrees on the same thing. A majority rule is when only 50 percent or a small fraction of people in a group settle on an idea.
