Bioethics refers to the study of ethical issues that are related to health and healthcare. Nursing ethics examines ethical issues from the perspective of nursing theory and practice. Assumes all societies experience broad, systematic oppression and inequalities, which affect some people more than others. Every individual contributes to oppression and inequity, even if unintentionally. We"re responsible for taking action to remove these disparities. Social places emphasis on application of justice to social groups, i. e. unjust social institutions and relationships. The experiences of individuals are embedded within a larger political, economic, social, and cultural contexts. Basic resource and prerequisite conditions are necessary to achieve health. Powers and faden (2006) stress that social justice is foundational moral justification for public health as a social institution.
