Ohs core programs: dm and joint employee and management committee support are programs that exist in any workplace as part of the occupational health and safety system. Job safety planning: aka job safety analysis (jsa). A technique used to break the job down into its steps (or tasks) and then identify the health and safety risks/hazards associated with each step. Each hazard identified, need to ensure measures are taken to eliminate/control it: highly repetitive jobs often have a jsa that is then used to implement sops. Infrequent jobs benefit more from a job safety plan. Job safety planning programs are normally considered and implemented in organizations with the following work situations. Where the potential for a severe injury is high. New work situations where the procedures are not yet developed. Where there are changes in personnel, hardware, or equipment. Where there is overlapping work being performed by different work crews.
