EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Simon Fraser Company (SFC), founded in 1965 in British Columbia, is a company
importing building materials for BC home builders and contractors. Recently, SFC has decided
to invest capital in 3D-printing technology while simultaneously increasing reach into the B-to-C
market. According to an analysis of the external environment, the eyewear market is expected to
grow rapidly in the near future. Furthermore 3D-printed eyewear is among one of the most
popular trends in Asia Pacific. We, as a marketing team, decided to focus on in-store 3D-printed
eyewear retailing in Hong Kong. Our targeted consumer is the average Asian female who is both
cost-oriented and fashion-seeking, essentially offering her a one-of-a-kind customizing
experience in designing her own glasses frames.
