Executive Summary
Simon Fraser Company (SFC) as a private company started its trading operations in
1965. SFC has accumulated a certain amount of profit and reputation up to 2013. Also, based on
the analysis of the external environment, SFC has noticed the trend of Internet of Things (IoT). It
plan to invest in Iot to follow the trend and try to earn profit from this market. Profits are not
expected in the 1st year, but increases in market and profit in the 2nd year.
Since SFC’s primary business is in importing such building supplies as tiles for British
Columbia house builders and contractors, we are going to invent a smart doorbell which relates
to the building supplies to some extent. To differentiate SFC’s products with these existing
competitors in wearable tech industry, our smart doorbell will have a special fingerprint
recognition function. It provides more secure for our customer. So, we target the single
households who are interested in convenient things and are affordable for the advanced product.
They are usually the ones who have high demand on smart home product.
We are going to distribute through online stores and set a price of $230. Searching engine
advertising and TV commercial will be uses to promote out product.
