Those with fundamentalist religious views vs. the (cid:373)o(cid:396)e li(cid:271)e(cid:396)al (cid:373)e(cid:373)(cid:271)e(cid:396)s of ca(cid:374)ada(cid:859)s (cid:373)a(cid:374)(cid:455) faiths. People from rural rather than urban communities. Sociology can help students understand the impact that socializing influences (parents, media, professors) have on their own opinions concerning same-sex marriage. Sociology helps students distinguish between a well-argued, informed opinion and an uninformed viewpoint spouted off without careful thought.
