Two cultural models: provide frameworks for understanding how cultural values influence what parents do with their children, both have stresses of their own. Interdependent system has to understand other"s point of views, advantage is the support. Independent system anxiety from having to achieve certain things and the lack of help, but one is free to choose whatever they see fit without burdens of other expectations.
