Hyperthymesia super recall, they can remember anything that they did and tell you the day they did it, what they were wearing and what the weather was like. Memory errors:some initial examples read over, just examples. They help because the connections, serving as retrieval paths, enable you to locate information in memory. They hurt because they sometimes make it difficult to see where the remembered episode stops and other, related knowledge begins. As a result, the connections encourage intrusion errors errors in which other knowledge intrudes into the remembered event. Schema (schemata) summarize the broad pattern of what"s normal in a situation. Dentist office schema waiting room and new toothbrush but no gorillas. Schemas help you understand why things happen in certain environments. Guiding your understanding and enabling you to reconstruct things you cannot remember. But schematic knowledge can also hurt you, promoting errors in perception and memory.
