The donor has little to no liability unless the donor knew the gift was dangerous and would cause harm to the recipient; however, if the recipient is merely unsatisfied by the gift then the donor is not liable. Exchange or barter this is only considered under the sga if money is used since there needs to be consideration. Hire purchase and hire the consumer agrees to hire the goods for a period of time and at the end has the option to purchase and become the owner but this doesn"t have to happen.
