Document Summary
Mt"s: motor proteins, kinesins move on mt, + end, dyenins move on mt, end, imf move on actin, + end, protein rings, cohesin (cid:224) will hold 2 chromosome copies together; made before replication, condensin (cid:224) similar shape, different job. Mitosis: prior to this we have dna replication, centrosome replication, and synthesis of proteins that we need, prophase, prometaphase, centrosomes move to poles, chromosomes condense (cid:224) they must condense to they can be easily moved the tangled mess of chromatin is good for interphase not so good in division, condensin will make dna into ndividual chromosomes; cohesion will hold them together, nuclear envelop is dismantled; mt can connect to chromosomes; mt come out from the centrosomes! Overlap (cid:224) centrosome to other mt"s tubes: chromosomes move to middle; dyenins try to crawl towards centrosomes on opposite site; line up at metaphase plate, mt called mitotic spindle, anaphase, sister chromatids separate into daughter chromosomes, we will break cohesins!
