When we"re looking at layers with regards to chemical composition we do not look at separate inner and outer core they are just core. When look at physical we also look at atmosphere and gas. Lithosphere solid rock; solid rock, referred to as cold brittle or rigid; hard doesn"t bend well breaks easier; 100 km part of actual geosphere starts now. Asthenosphere rock partly (5-25%) molten more ductile all the molten shit is in isolated magma parts the rest is just mobile, moves around a lot, warm plasticine type shit we can move lots, lower. Mesosphere solid rock lots of pressure and heat, hypothetically mobile but under so much pressure can"t really move lots unless we release pressure through hotspots. Outer core liquid metallic core; not rock like preceding layers. Crust thinner or thicker; thinner at oceanic oxygen, silicon, aluminum, iron, magnesium. Mantle oxygen, silicon, magnesium, iron upper and lower deals with physical composition.
