Abuse is about control of one person over the other, so hcps have to remember to enable the woman to make her own decisions and have control over her own decisions. Leading causes of death in neonates are preterm and multiple births. Antepartum testing in the first and second trimester: expected outcome is detection of potential fetal compromise so the hcp can take measures to prevent or minimize adverse perinatal outcomes.
