Internal validity - the degree which results support a clear and concise conclusion , controlling all uninvestigated factors ( target population ) External validity - the degree to which results are generalized to other situations , done by random sampling. *studies should include both internal and external validity: conducting research to test the hypothesis, analyzing the data and collecting tentative conclusions, reporting findings to the scientific community, ask further questions, conduct more research and test more theories. Population - individuals who observer"s are interested in studying.
