Sambia men- had to give oral sex for seamen in order to become men. Athens- focusd on having sex with wives for heirs- but everyone else for pleasure. Sex only permissable of people with different levels of power. It was deviant to bang another land lord if you were a land lord. Aboriginal culture (settlers time) - could have sex with same sex. Berdache - biological male who assume female roles and were banged by men. Europeans sex= strictly reproduction, pleasure was frowned upon. , same sex was unacceptable. Les femmes du pays- country wives- first wave of aboriginal women who mated with colonizers, was encouraged at first, but as colonization grew, this declined alot. Wild wild west- women outnumbered men 200:1 and began to be used as a form of currency. Being with a man was more about safety then free will.
