Sex: a classificatory scheme that is intended to divide humans into groups on the basis of their reproductive capacities, for the most part, binary no room for ambiguity in the english language, refers to bodies. Gender: refers to the cultural expectations about behaviour, attitudes and appearance that are imposed on people. Transsexual: refers to people who feel that their sex and their gender do not correspond as social convention dictate. Transgender: do not identify specifically w masculinity or femininity or understand their gender to be fluid not fixed. Sport typing: notion that some sports are better suited for males or females although there is nothing inherent about the forms of movement that make them masculine or feminine.
