Nurses need to understand the families when they are receiving care. They understand the family by understanding who is involved, and how. This theory is based on the assumption that nurses must understand various cultures. This theory views caring as the essence and the moral ideal of nursing think tom. Watson describes caring as being grounded in a set of universal human values: Kindness, concern, and love of self and others. It"s the moral idea of nursing, the will and intent to care. Benner and wrubel the primacy of caring. This theory viewed caring as the essence of excellence in nursing. Caring is primary because it sets up the possibility of giving and receiving help.
