Beliefs & attitudes & consequences of behaviour all affect the way humans organize the world. Provides producing & distributing goods & services necessary for life. Maintaining order & appropriate relations with outside culture. Encouraging members of culture to find meaning. Culture = shared ideas, values & beliefs that people use to interpret experience. & to generate behaviours & that are reflected by their behaviours. Share cultural identity (able to predict groups behaviours) Anthropologist higher motivation to learn new culture quickly as possible. Reverse culture shock can strike coming back home. Immigrants question way of live in new country compared to old (uncomfortable until learn new culture)
