Transformative learning is about the process of deciding on an action based on justified beliefs, critically reflected on, and tested in the sphere of public discourse. Transformation can take on an incremental less dramatic form rather than epochally. Learning about privilege and oppression requires both an understanding of the social world as shaped by systems of disadvantage and placing oneself with that social world and acknowledging the implications of ones social privilege.
