According to horowitz the canadian political culture is dominated by liberalism, but is accompanied by significant touches of conservatism and socialism. Lipsets formative events theory states that the dominant values of any society have their foundation in great historical events. Defined as including elements of popular sovereignty, political equality and freedom and majority rule. Means that people have the final say, which is why in large modern political systems they take the form of election at certain specific intervals. Everyone can vote but only once, no more then that.
