Injunctive norms: norms that describe how people ought to behave in a given situation: not showing up to class naked. Pluralistic ignorance: a type of norm misconception that occurs when each individual in the group privately rejects the group"s norm, but believes that others accept these norms. Signal amplification bias refers to people"s perception that their overtures communicate more romantic interest than they actually do to potential partners: why people don"t make the first move in relationships.
