Cultural syndromes patterns of shared attitudes, beliefs, or values that are organized around a theme and largely shared by members of an identifiable group: e. g. Tightness and complexity, mastery and conservatism and power distance and uncertainty avoidance. Individualism-collectivism (ic) focusing on oneself either as an individual or as a member of a significant in-group: independent vs. interdependent views of the self, idocentrism-allocentrism, agency-communion.
