Then a storm hits and the women and one crew member are shipwrecked- they are now equal in status. They fall in love until they get saved because the women is now rich again and that guy is a janitor- they are not equal in status-- thus perpetuate social inequality. This story gives us three messages: can be rich without working hard, you can work hard and still not be rich, structure of society causes inequality. Another movie the titanic gives a inequality theme too. Class difference is important because the first class citizens boated in luxury and the third class are in close dirty quarters. When the ship starts to sink only the first and second class people can get onto the life boats.
