The way people behave and reactive negatively to ones actions can be referred too as deviance. Everyone, has done something that someone else does not approve of. Societies everywhere have rules or norms governing what we may and may not do, how we should and should not think, what we should believe and not believe, and even on how we should look and not look. It is always looked in a negative view by at least one person. Four necessary ingredients for deviance to exist: a rule or a norm, someone who violates or thought one person violated the norm, an audience who judges the normative violation to be wrong. 4. likelihood of a negative reaction, criticism, censure, stigma, disapproval, punishment by the like of that audience. ** the point is, deviance is not a simple quality resting with a given action, belief, or trait inherent in, intrinsic or indwelling within them.
