Week 7 (february 24th march 2nd: this article is all about the categorization of homicides in terms of social distance categories which is said to lead to a better understanding of homicide. Literature: domestic, family, and other close relationships that lead to homicide have dominated literature in the field. People vary in the degree to which they participate in one another"s lives. Distant relationships: surprisingly, more distant relationships (i. e. killings by strangers) were neglected in research literature until recently. These patterns though, may change over time though as family patterns evolve and change. Week 7 (february 24th march 2nd: trends, frequency of stranger homicide is influenced by the population, ex. people perceive a rise in street crime in many urban areas and as a result have changed their living habits.
