Description
Chapter #10 Greenhouse Gases- atmospheric gases that trap warming solar radiation near Earth's surface. Reservoirs- bodies of chemical entities that occupy particular spaces. Flux- fluxes are rates of movement between reservoirs. Respiration- the opposite of photosynthesis, whereas it employs energy, respiration releases energy. *Organic compounds contain relatively small amounts of oxygen or none at all and are referred to as Reduced Carbon compounds. Anoxic- an anoxic condition or anoxia is the virtual absence of O2. Reduced carbon compounds accumulate in large quantities in anoxic bodies of water
