Empathic, caring provider judged to be more competent & friendly than those that are cool & aloof in reality, technical quality of care & manner of care delivery is unrelated. Canadian wish to take a more active & less passive role in decisions that affect their health having consumerist attitudes (instead of completely listening to provider)
