High self monitors: constantly watch other people, what they do, and and how they respond to the behaviours of others, want to look good : influence of others. Include significant others, the groups to which you belong, the roles you assume, and the rewards you receive from others: past experiences. Without it you would have little basis for a coherent self concept.
