Predicting the future is complex, the best way to do it is by examining past trends. The more recent the rend, the more likely it is to continue into the short-term future. Long-term predictions are : more complex than short-term, prone to the effects of unexpected events. Social trends are also regarded as predictors of change. To predict the future of leisure and recreation, we need to consider both demographics and predictors of change.
