Social psychology: the scienti c study of how we think about, in uence and relate to one another: different people may act differently in a given situation, social psychologists focus on the situation. Attribution theory: the theory that we explain someone"s behaviour by crediting either the situation or the person"s disposition. Attitude: feelings, often in uenced by our beliefs, that predispose us to respond in a particular way to object, people, and events. Peripheral route persuasion: occurs when people are in uenced by incidental cues such as a speaker"s attractiveness. Actions affect attitudes: attitude follows behaviour as well.
