Media and development: media brings instant gratification, so children can"t wait to gratify desires anymore, worries have remained the same with media, even the same as when radio became a thing, children might be exposed to adult content, less family time, children from low income fams watch more tv because, children can be plopped down at no cost, gives parents a much eneded break (probably more stressed because of los ses too, can"t afford to have a babysitter or daycare. 8: less imagination when amount of media increases, bad for reading skills because of many reasons, but it"s not all bad as long as mom and dad are involved and discussion is encouraged about programs, parents should mediate what child is watching, not as much what they are watching but who is watching and the cognitive tendencies and personality of the child.
