When a culture accepts that something is true, its political structure, institutions, laws, beliefs and everyday practices, and systems of reward and punishment will be shaped in that knowledge. The distinctions between human (cultural) and material realities, between symbolic (cultural) production and material production, the idea of being cultured . Some definitions imply discrimination and distinctions between different people that can define power and status. Culture was described as a whole way of life by williams. Culture is all the basic things; music dance etc but on the other hand culture is shaped by the work of selection. Selecting, challenging, arranging and living of the artifacts and ideas in everyday life. Culture is both traditions we are born into and how these are challenged through experiences. Defining progress: culturally, progress means not just to make a movement forward but to make a movement towards something.
