Effective leadership: ability of leader to get high performance from his or her subordinates. Strategic thinking: cognitive thinking to analyze complex situation, abstract from it and draw conclusion about best strategy for firm to follow. Achievement motivation: unconscious concern for achieving excellence in accomplishments thru one"s individual efforts. Power motivation: unconscious drive to acquire status and power and to have impact on others. Charisma: ability of some ppl to charm or influence others. Emotional intelligence: ability to monitor one"s own and other"s feelings and emotions, to discriminate among them, and to use this info to guide one"s thinking and actions. People oriented behaviour: leadership style that includes showing mutual trust and respect for subordinates, demonstrating genuine concern for their needs, and having desire to look out for their welfare.
