Generalize anxiety disorder(gad): characterized by excessive anxiety andw orry that has been present for more than 3 months (ex. worrying about the futre, losing a job or a partner). Social anxiety disorder(sad): character by marked fear or anxiety about one or more social situations in which the indivual is exposed to possible scrutiny by others (ex. giving a speech or being with others). Panic attack: comes quickly and carries with it an intense feelings of apprehnsion, anxeity, or fear; happens without an actualy situation that would suggest danger. Seperation anxiety disorder:a sitation where children as they evelop do not show a normal sense of indepence and continue to feel distress when not with their caregivers. Obsessive-compulsive disorder(ocd): characteized by repetitive thoughts and feelings usually followed by behaviours in response to them. Anxiety is an affective state where by an individual feels threatened by the potential occurrence of a future negative event.
