The orient is not only adjacent to europe but also the richest/greatest and oldest colonies; source of its civilizations, languages, cultural and recurring imagine of the other . The orient has helped europe to show a contrasting imagine, idea, experience, personality. The academic world talks about orientalism but the term is not preferred by specialists. Appeared in 18th century, with a regulated traffic between the 2 in the academic world. Orientalism- is a style of thought based upon an antological and epistemological distinction made between the orient and the occident . Many writes have defined the distinction between east and west.
