Ray was leader of tcc (the cheeba [marijuana] crew) and la mafia boba (the sly mafia), which. Primo is afraid of ray because he raped a bum before. Ray even wanted to kill his best friend luis because he wasn"t trusted: luis was primo"s first cousin. Violence against others is needed to protect oneself and prevent rip-offs: primo ad caesar saw it as necessary so others don"t try to take advantage of you, caesar is primo"s lookout. Ray was smart drug dealer but didn"t have skill necessary to function in legal world. Philippe was white, so others thought he was an undercover, so he was avoided: cops assumed he was a drug addict, so got harassed by them.
