Environment constitutes of the air, soil, water, whatever surrounds you, manmade environment (created by society), mental health: everything that affects a living organism, your environment is your health (but not the only factor influencing your health) Environmental health comprises those aspects of human health, disease and injuries that are determined or influenced by factors in the environment. Genetic traits, natural disasters and social behavioral hazards have impact on the environmental health, but not studied under it. Interactions with genetic traits and with social/behavioral stressors. Much more than just pollution as branch of public health, the field of environmental health takes a population perspective. If one individual becomes sick, does not mean that environmental hazard is causing that illness; needs to be studied on population. People living a modern western lifestyle create, use, and dispose of lots of stuff : high wastage, landfills. In an ecosystem, nothing ever goes away, landfills.
