Need to know the details of biomes from textbook. Wood frogs spend winters in a partially frozen states, without breathing and with no circulation or heartbeat. Interactions between organisms and their physical environment that influence their survival and persistence and the geographical range : physiological ecology. Each species has a range of environmental tolerances that determines its potential geographic distribution. There are certain things we as humans can bear. Species distribution reflect environmental influences on energy acquisition: The potential geographic range of a species is ultimately determined by the physical environment, which influences an organism"s ecological success in 2 ways. Climate envelop: the range of climate conditions under which a species occurs. Individuals respond to environmental variation through acclimatization (adjustment) : Acclimatization: many organism have the ability to adjust their physiology, morphology or behaviour to lessen the effect of an environmental change and minimize the associated stress.
