Many women in india get utis and bladder infections from having to hold in their pee - Women aren"t able to go to the bathroom at school when they get older, especially whence they begin to menstruate (pg 163) The question of where to use a toilet is a gendered problem 1/20 people relieve themselves in the open (pg 164) Women face strong stigma and shame if they do this holding in their pee thus affects their health and sanitation. This example of gendered problems surrounding reliving one"s self is a great example of the embodied experience of city life: embodied experience: denotes that the body of the human is a context and space of all experience. The ability to go to the bathroom in western countries also depends on whether you have power or money (pg 165)
