Starts with the observation that nothing we think we know about the world, including health. Holds that we are all engaged in interpreting, defining, giving meaning to, & making sense of the world around us. Constructionists are unsure whether there is any such thing as objective reality or truth & if everything merely a question of interpretation. Some hold that objective reality does exist, but that our experiences of it is mediated by the k,,,,,. meanings we give that reality there are multiple realities. These constructionists subscribe to a brand of constructionism known as mild. Argue that can"t objectively say whether reality exists since we can"t know anything is. Other constructionists referred to as radical constructionists constructionism or strict contextual or real beyond our own experiences.
