What is best environment for max. meaning transfer? (ie. face-to-face to resolve. Think creatively! conflict, quiet space to read complex info) to solve problems may need diff. way to approach/frame problem. Context (organizational, world) initial audience first to receive message, routes to others, may tell you to write message. One person can be in two roles (ex. boss is initial & gatekeeper)
