From the beginning, the kyoto protocol was ill fated due to the fact that it was modeled on plausible but inappropriate precedents. Argument 1 made in support of thesis (1-2 sentences) There were several commitments to the kyoto protocol, but it is apparent that countries were unable to follow through. Argument 2 made in support of thesis (1-2 sentences not necessary for all readings) A vast and growing problem that now faces humanity is climate change, there is only a short amount of time to save the planet. The kyoto protocol is a manifestation of the climate change issue. Summary of evidence supporting argument 1 (1-2 sentences) European politicians believed that they could accomplish a 20% reduction in co2 emissions by 2020.
